New MPL ID Season: Map, Handicap and Objective Markets
Mobile Legends carries the largest esports betting volume in Indonesia, and its series format makes the markets behave unlike traditional sport.
The new MPL ID season opens markets across every phase. The league runs two seasons a year with eight teams, a double round-robin over seven weeks, then a double-elimination playoff. Competition detail and markets sit on the MPL Mobile Legends page.

Map handicap and why it matters
A −1.5 map handicap in a best-of-three needs a 2−0 win. It is the main route to a workable price on a favourite, because match winner on a top side against a bottom one often drops below 1.30.
In best-of-five playoff series the handicap moves to −1.5 or −2.5, and the room for error widens. A team that drops one map still covers −1.5 by winning 3−1, which makes the market safer in playoffs than in the regular season.
Objective markets
First blood and total towers settle per map. Both correlate with playing style rather than absolute strength. A team with an aggressive early composition takes first blood more often even when its series win rate is ordinary.
Total towers depends on map length. A map ended by one decisive teamfight carries far fewer towers than a long game, and the line adjusts to the average duration of the teams involved.
What moves prices
- Roster changes — a mid-season swap reshapes the standings faster than in traditional sport.
- Game patches — hero balance updates can favour a playing style overnight.
- Scheduling — teams playing two series close together perform differently in the second.
- Draft — picks and bans happen before the map starts, and live prices move sharply afterwards.
MPL ID, M-Series and international tournament markets run all season.
See MPL marketsGrand final day and the parlay rule
The grand final is best of seven, which opens enough markets in one day to build a three-leg parlay: match winner, map one winner and total maps. Esports counts as a sport for bonus purposes, so a slip like that meets turnover as long as each leg prices at 1.40 or higher. The arithmetic is in the turnover explainer.
